Framing for additions, remodels, and decks
Sea Level Construction provides framing for additions, remodels, and decks on the Eastern Shore. Framing is the structural carpentry that sets a wall, a floor, or a roof before drywall, siding, roofing, or windows go on. Additions and decks are part of the outdoor living work. The shop is in Ocean Pines. Call 443-513-0208.
What framing is
Framing changes or creates the shape of a space. Finish carpentry, trim, and doors are separate services. If the job is a closet, a built-in, or a wood repair that does not change the structure, that is carpentry.
When framing is required
- An addition
- A wall move inside a remodel
- A deck or screened porch
- A roof shape that changes with the project
- An opening for a window or door that is not the same size
Finishes that follow the frame
How framing work is handled
Describe what is being added or opened up. They discuss the scope, materials, and a timeline.
What affects the price
The size of the addition or the wall, the roof involvement, and access around the house change the work. A deck frame and a room addition are not the same price conversation.
Residential and commercial
Framing is part of the residential and commercial construction Sea Level Construction lists.

Questions
Do you frame additions and decks?
Yes. Additions and decks are projects we take, and framing is the service used to build them.
Is framing the same as carpentry?
No. Framing is the structure. Carpentry is the woodworking, repairs, and built-ins. Both are part of the work.
Who hangs the drywall after the frame?
Drywall is a Sea Level Construction service, so it can follow the framing on the same project.
Do you publish engineering or permit steps?
No. Ask when you talk through the addition or the wall change.
How much does framing cost?
The size of the addition, deck, or wall is what to describe.
