Kitchen remodeling on the Eastern Shore

Entertaining begins in the kitchen, and the room should be designed for the people who use it.

Kitchens

Cabinets and appliance installation are part of that work. Electrical and plumbing sit behind the appliances, the sink, and the lights.

A kitchen can stay in its footprint or open into the next room. The shop is at 86 Teal Circle, Ocean Pines, MD 21811.

Who installs the cabinets?

Kitchen cabinets are their own service. A bathroom vanity is a different service. Materials are chosen for the job. The size of the kitchen is what to describe when you ask about cost.

Sea Level Construction walks through material options, pricing options, and a timeline before construction. The work covers homes and businesses in the Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia towns.

Who sets the appliances, and who runs the new circuit?

Appliance installation sets the units. Sea Level Construction does not sell the appliances. Confirm on the call whether you are supplying them. The cabinet opening, the circuit, and the water line have to match the unit.

Electrical runs a new range or dryer circuit. Plumbing connects a dishwasher or an ice line. Lighting is its own service when the fixtures in the kitchen are changing.

What floor goes in a kitchen?

The floor can be hardwood, manufactured flooring, or tile. Hardwood is the solid-wood floor. Manufactured flooring is the engineered option. Wet areas may be tile. Trim finishes the base of the wall after the floor.

Say which rooms and which appliances need power or water. One room can be tile while the next room is hardwood.

What if the kitchen opens into the next room?

Opening a wall is framing, then drywall, then the cabinets and the finishes. Framing is the structure. Finish carpentry and trim are separate.

Ask about engineering and permits when a wall change is part of the kitchen. The useful details are the room size, what stays, and whether the sink or the cooking area moves. Call 443-513-0208.
